Going on a trip in a couple of weeks, want to try to beach hunt. Will be staying at Orange Beach. Read on another post that it might be illegal to beach hunt in Alabama. Any credibility to that?

All replies welcome.

Thanks

Roger

I've never had any problems hunting the beach there. Send Bobby (Bridge End Farm) a pm. He's in Pensacola and I'm sure he knows more than I since he's just a few miles from the area. :)
Have a great vacation! :hello:

:D You know I am Rog. :D I hope you're taking good care of it.

You are free and clear. The only places off limits are Fort Morgan and Mobile street down Fort Morgan Road.

Remember that the main beaches have been heavily sifted to remove oil. You might have better luck going down to Little Lagoon Pass and detecting on both sides as a lot of water moves in and out of the pass which moves a good bit of sand around also.

Good Luck!
