Leonard Pin/Tag?

I found this cool piece in a TOC-1920s dump I was digging. It says Bastion Bros. Co. Rochester NY on the pack, looks like it may have been a pin at one point. Anyone have any idea the Leonard it is referring to? Could it have been a family crest or a group of some kind? Thanks, Aaron
