Let's see those silver stacks :)

Coins you've dug up only!

Also post how many years you've been digging and maybe tell about your favorite silver coin or two :)

I'll start! These are mine for 4 years, though I only found a couple last year because I took most of it off.

My favorite two are the 1856 seated dime I found in someone's front yard and the walker. The walker I was my second silver coin, and I found it 3 inches down in a park that was just an empty field before 1976. Totally lucky find. I was so new to detecting that I thought that was gonna be the norm lol

I've only been digging for 24 months and pulled 96 silvers. 2014 I mainly hunted public lands (parks & schools) and only dug 23 silvers. In 2015 I mainly hunted permissions and my silver total for the year was 57. So far I have dug 16 silvers this year.

Here's a pic of last years silvers.

GOD Bless

Alas, the X wife got my "first generation" of silver from my former life - quite a bit actually = dug 22 straight silver dimes one time.

And then my "second generation" (now) - thus far I've found 2 silver rings and a silver pendent. I don't get out much, but I'm itching!

Ya'll have great finds there, and I really like Chris's "captures" :) Loco is doing pretty darned well too!

Loco,

I know you don't know me from Adam, but I have followed your progress for a while now, mostly because I thought our find rate on silver coins was about the same and it was good to know not everybody was finding 150 to 200 silvers a year. lol

Unfortunately (for me) you have been killing it lately and left me in the dust. :laughing7:

As far as my "dug" stack. I have been at this about 27/28 months and have a grand total of 57 silver coins.
1st year - 13 total (Hunted almost all schools and parks with a few home permissions.)
2nd year - 30 total (Started looking more for older sites to hunt. Less schools and parks.)
This year - 14 total (Mixture of old home sites and I got lucky with a few silvers from public places.)

Without a doubt my favorite coin so far has been the 1922 Peace Dollar.

Here is a pic. They are in 2x2s so not the best way to show them.

My first silver coin was found with a Bounty Hunter Time Ranger

my best silver coin find is my 1858 Seated liberty Quarter.

I've found like two silver Washington, bunch of mercs, like 4 rosies and one silver war nickel. I started MDing in Dec 2014, my first day out was on Christmas with a BH Tracker 4.

8 weeks into my Detectorist Stint

Just two months now, and at it hard with the Vaquero for 100 plus hours.

In a month I move to S.C. and will be BUSY busy. I hope to turn to the beach, but my family/relocation will limit my Detectorist hobby for a time. Currently, I am having success in my historic home town in Virginia. Should have started ages ago...

...1903 Barber TODAY. The SWEET 1943 Merc first one top left was yesterday. The War Nickel before that, etc.

I loved popping those halves out. The 37 WL is in really nice shape. Anyway, congrats to you all...

Don't take this the wrong way, but I hate you. :laughing7:

Other than a thin merc, a rosie and GW that I buried in my test garden this is all the silver I have dug since I started detecting around 4 months ago. The 42 GW is the first silver I found, my favorite is probably the Franklin half or the SLQ.

After seeing other posts, I knew it was going to be a bad idea for me to get involved in this thread. :-\

What's that coin with the ship on it?

Its a Portuguese 2$50 coin. My first and only foreign silver so far.

Very cool looking coin, I'm gonna snatch one up for my collection!

I have found 165 silver coins in two years. Here is a pic of all of the silvers bigger than a quarter.

I am in the same state as Bladerunner2019, but seem to find a lot more than he does!

Considering I only had a 4 month head start on you I think I'm doing pretty good! :laughing9:

Concentrate on permissions and your silver count will increase. Gotta love a peace dollar, I pulled mine from church property. It used to have a home on it and the coins was only a few inces down right next to a tree trunk. My Peace dollar was in a fire and has a few bubbles on it. Thanks for the mention in your post.

Let's hope tabman does not post his silvers.
