Let's see your rig

I'm going to spend the Winter building a truck similar to the truck below for the 2012 MD'ing year. 4x4, winch on receiver that can be moved to front or back, electric cooler for food, water for cleaning finds, shovels, first aid kit, shotgun. The back will be outfitted to be a mini-camper, with a mattress for me and a bed for my dog. Power inverters for battery chargers, other goodies... Able to tow a trailer for an ATV, which will be set up to carry MD'ing supplies, and detectors.

So, lets see your excursion rigs.... I know you nugget/meteorite hunters out west have some durable rigs that take you into the desert.

Thats my one on a pic from last winter. Love this truck, big enough for me, the dogs, detector and equipment. No shotgun. No permit to carry...

I did the bumpers myself. Way too expensive at Road Armor or similar companies. If You know how to use a welder and have some fabrication skills it is not that difficult.
Had them powdercoated. Durable and cheaper than paint. Tires are Nitto Dune Grappler 315/70-17. Good on wet and snow, but on ice....
