Relic Hunting
I've recently received permission to hunt some new (to me) historic sites here in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. My AT Pro w/the small coil has sure been earning her keep. The ATP sniffed this little beauty out of some iron-infested ground last week on a short hunt. Even after rinsing, detail was sparse and I couldn't make out the date. So I let it sit in boiling hydrogen peroxide for a while, worked it gently with a toothbrush, then applied some coconut oil and Renaissance wax and this 1820 Coronet Head Liberty Large Cent came to life. Thanks for looking.
