In the early part of the Civil War things weren't going well for the Union Forces and Mr.Lincoln was being queried by reporters.
Mr.Lincoln,how many troops are the Union forces fighting ?
"Six million,sir."
Mr.Lincoln,sir,how do you arrive at that figure ?
"Academic,sir.We have one million Federal soldiers in the field.Every time one of my generals get's his ass kicked he swears to me that he was outnumbered 6 to 1.
