Thats a great song and a buddy of mine drives a 1950 Ford with a big blower sticking out of the hood and named it after this song but spells it a little different. Blu By You ;D

This is a good video. I turned it on to listen Blue Bayou by Linda Ronstadt. She has such a pretty voice in this song.
Then I found the ones by Carrie Underwood. In the Oprey Surprise, toward the end of that one, there is Little Jimmie
Dickinsbetween her and Randy Travis. We saw him in the Grand Ole Oprey when we visited there last Spring. He is
now in his 90's and still preforming on stage at the Oprey.

Thanks RR for sharing this.

I like the Ronstadt sound but I'm a Roy Orbison fan. Monty

I'm with Monty on this one. Linda Ronstadt's is arguably the best cover ever, but there's a magic in the original— which Roy Orbison cowrote with Joe Melson— that's just unmatched.

Same thing is true of "Crying," another Orbison classic which has been covered by countless other artists.

Roy Rules.

Nice try Linda. :tongue3: You were cuter than Roy, though.

Ah - memories - Linda Ronstadt singing Blue Bayou is "our" song. (me and hubby).
