Looks like you found a bull ring. I wonder if that pistol brass is from a .41 (Colt thunderer) they were a rather short.

Great bottle! Google the name, you'll find out that it was known as the "Baby Killer". Contained enough morphine to numb a regiment of soldiers! Good stuff!

Old River,

Very nice bottle. That might be old enough to be pontiled. Take a pic of the bottom of it, and post it. If pontiled, it is worth some dough(maybe enough to fill your gas tank once or twice).

The bottom is flat with the number 81 on it. Probably a 1881 bottle. The bullets were of several cals. 44 wcf , 30-30 rem umc, 38 cfw,

I just typed in Mrs Winslows Soothing Syrup in Yahoo search, and went down the list until I found it. As a matter of a fact this was on E-bay, but there was lots of information in other sites. Thanks for looking.
