One of my favorite finds came straight out of the ground in the jaws of a bulldozer. I was a young kid growing up in Queens, way before my metal detecting days, but already a self-proclaimed treasure hunter. A foundation was being dug at a very old site in town and the spoils were being piled in huge topsoil stockpile. My buddy and I would eventually eye-ball find dozens of clay pipe stem fragments and bowls from this very same pile.
Out of the bucket dropped this beautiful jug and it broke into a few pieces as it hit the ground! I scrambled to salvage it as soon as I was able. Eventually I glued the pieces together and patch the one small missing piece with plaster. For all these years it has remained the centerpiece of my collection.
Thanks for Looking!

PS: I hope I haven't overdone it with the pictures but I wanted to show all angles.
