Yes, as above and commonly sold in the 1940s especially.

"Lignum M. Olivarum" means "wood from the Mount of Olives" (adjacent to the Old City of Jerusalem) which is what is contained inside. If any small seed-like things fell out when you opened it, those will be seeds of the plant Paliurus spina-christi believed to have been used to make the 'crown of thorns' placed on Jesus' head.

Trappists are members of a Catholic religious order related to the Cistercians, and properly known as the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance.
