I have been so consumed by the job that my detecting has been sidelined far too long. But now, with the mandate we work from home and time change combined, I've been able to start getting out in the evenings again.
I live next to a wide open lot that once had 5 or 6 old houses that were torn down 15+ years ago. I've hit the area a few times, but went out Friday and Saturday with my First Mate / grandson Max to share some time together. On Friday, we found silver in a well worn 1917 Merc, which was probably dropped much later than that based on the wear it has. Here is Max showing our plunder:

That was our only decent find Friday. We got out earlier on Saturday had found 3 modern coins (2 Lincolns and a clad Rosie), but also a very nice '36 Merc.

So my little treasures were a couple pieces of silver, some much needed time outside swinging the coil again, and precious time with Max. Total value: Priceless!
