If I had to choose between three things, 1. not being able to detect any time I wanted and 2. being married and not being able to detect any time I wanted and 3. being able to detect any time I wanted at will, married or not, I would probably just go down to the river and try some fishing or something, anytime I wanted.

if SHE 0NLY LIKES DA MONEY *( your so going to have issues * sooner or later) hopefully the "kids" are old enough go with dad detecting --so take the kids with you when you go detecting * they love to help dad normally -- teach em to be yer diggers and teach them about detecting --teach them to love yer hobby --spend some "quality time" with em --gives the wife some "alone time" so she can watch tv or nap or sit around eating chocolate or whatever it is that "destress's" her

there are tons of way to make family life and "fun" life....geez we do it all the time


I wonder about him being a dad truly? one of those I don't need to spend time with the wife, which means the kids are lower on the totem pole, and detecting is his way out....nothing wrong with that unless you overuse, over lie to get away from it all.

There is a time for work, and a time for play.

A good relationship allows for both for all.

Lying is too much like work. Is she his mommy? (as in "you stay here and do your homework?) or his wife. If you are in a grown-up relationship, you make time for your kids, your wife/husband/work/ ..... and play.

No two people like everything the same. So, every relationship has some things that people do separately.

Lying is always bad, and always comes back to bite you, in one way or another. Even a little white lie can sometimes come up 10 years later in a fight, when someone is saying "honest, honey, would I lie to you?" Well, as a matter of fact, you would........................................

Make time to do it all - even if you have to schedule it, and keep it honest.
