Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Went back to a soccer field I’ve been working to try and finish it up before the rain moved in for the next three days. The fog was heavy. It was strange detecting in the fog, but pleasurable at the same time with no one else around. I detected for just over six-hours, and was getting ready to call it a day when I found the “gold” Irish coin. Let me tell you, I almost wet my pants when the side of that coin winked at me from the mud! I did get a 1941 Mercury, a 1964 Rosie, and the sterling crucifix. The clad total for yesterday was $27.52. I know I’m getting old, but yesterday kicked my patootie! I went to bed early and slept like a baby! :laughing7:

Thanks for the Happy Dance Keppy! Unfortunately, just gold in color, but wow, what a day! :headbang:

Go Terry! What a soccer field. I stopped at one of mine on the way home from an unsuccessful trip to Lake Erie (got literally blown off) needing one more ring to hit 30 for the last 6 months.... found a little clad and darn if I didn't find a kids ring.... #30! Nothing like what you are doing on that soccer field.

I'll bet you aren't done there yet!

Wooo-Hooo! :headbang: :hello2: Way to go on #30!!!!!! :notworthy: You're right Cliff, I have only gridded the fields one way! If the ground doesn't freeze before the rain stops and it dries up a bit, I'll go back and detect them North to South. After finding the jewelry and silver the first time through, I know there is more. Right now though, I am one sore puppy! My wrist, forearm and shoulders are killing me. I have never dug that many targets in one day before!

an added bonus ....getting arms/chest like popeye through hard digging can't be bad :icon_pirat:
