But ... but ....but wheres the gold lol. I do what you did...... i hunt those wash areas with lighter targets because most people give up pretty quick on all that trash. Lot of digging.....but you never know what might be in there once you get 42 tabs out of the way.

I’m a beach hunter too. I feel your pain. I got 2 gold rings in the last year. I can’t imagine though how many bottle caps, pull tabs, can slaw, and the little bits of foil floating around that I’ve chased thinking that the target just moved because I hit it with the scoop. I still dig every good signal in that range though because you just never know. Funny thing is though when you do find a gold ring you forget all about the other stuff. Just keep swinging. Don’t give up. Try a different beach or shoreline. Does look like you found some coins so congrats on those and when you dig all the junk and put it in the pouch it’s less digging crap the next time. Good luck.

You almost caught me on pull tabs. Nice hunt.

Argh! You've found my secret honey hole! :laughing7:

I’m going back in a few weeks. It was a grassy area above an old beach. Pull tabs up to 5” deep.

Well, you are digging the correct tones, just no Gold this time!

I hope you find some Gold next outing...GL & HH

Some blasting hot day you will reach into your cooler and grab a Heineken and have no bottle opener ! After chipping a tooth and scratching your bumper trying to get the cap off you're going to remember the inexpensive anodized green opener you found today and think its worth its weight in gold.
