Has anyone heared of this gold that was stolen back in the 1860's or 70's or earlier from a stage coach. Ive heard of it from a old lady back in 1998 just before she past away. From what I was told that the outlaw robbed the stage coach just outside of Logan IA then they headed south about 6 miles and was caught later that night after just making camp. They never recovered the gold which was said to be in the $5000.00 or more range. We did have Jesse James gang up here back in the 1870's and did rob banks but Im still looking into this story but I ran out of leads. Now is there any sites that I can find newpapers that old.
