Lonely Indian and another cool find!.........

I was hunting in the town just south of the one I live in. I found an 1888 Indian, and this neat old bass election seal. it is from Leonidas Michigan.
I am thinking late 1800's to the early 1900's? Anyone know? It is 1 1/4" dia, and about a 1/2" thick, solid brass with a threaded shaft to turn onto a press. I love finding items with town names.

I wish! I plan to attend the kalamazoo antique bottle show in the morning, many detectorists always come.
We then have an Easter get together later in the afternoon. Maybe I can sneak out at the end of the day?

Nice score on the Indian Mike [thumbsup] I haven't a clue on the age of the stamp, I found one last year (notary stamp) from the early 1900's.

Since I believe I am the last person actually born in the town of Leonidas, I'll take a stab at it....... Most likely that seal was 1900 to 1930's. I think it was used with a gob of hot wax to seal official election returns before heading on to the state capitol. Great find!

Great finds Mike. Leonidas is a neat old town. I only go thru it once ayear now when I go to the Sturgis Toy Run. I actually got out yesterday. Only found one wheatie and a couple of cheap rings. Not getting very warm up here yet and pretty breezy. Better days are coming!
