Hello Everyone
Have gotten a new permission and have found some pretty awesome relics. This one has me quite stumped. I am pretty certain it is a work chit. This area is not a coal mining area. It is the lettering that has me. Like most of us I love to do the research and find as much as I can about an item. I can find nothing about JF Link , Lenoir NC. All searches come back JF LINK the florist from Kentucky. The property has produced mostly 1900-1920 items. I feel this was probably some sort of business many years ago in Lenoir NC . There are multiple streets, courts, place, etc named Link in this area. So was hoping that with a little luck someone here might be from the Lenoir, NC area and recalls JF Link? Or possibly a method of researching old business from that area? Thanks for any info . Keep swinging

Don’t know if this helps, but the only “J.F. Link” that comes up as buried in North Carolina was “John Franklin Link”, born on 13th April 1891 in Hickory, NC (about 18 miles from Lenoir). He grew up in Hickory and was recorded as a brickyard labourer in 1910. By 1917 he was working in life insurance and eventually became an agent for Equitable Life Assurance Society. Died on 2nd September 1949 in Statesville, NC.

Nice!! Congrats!!

Thank you Sir

Thank you Sir, far better than anything I found and gives me somewhere to start!

I found two on Ancestry, J.F Link, born 1917, served in military at Ft. Bragg; and John F Link, born 1891, died Sept 1949 in Iredell, NC
Just found your guy I think. James Link, b 1893, d 1969, Lenoir NC. This was an obituary record which unfortunately didn’t have detail attached. I will keep looking.

That second one is the same J.F. Link I already mentioned. He died in Statesville, but was buried in Iredell.

Thank you Everyone for the help , very much appreciated.
