This is one of my favorite knives..It is made from Mt.Kineo rhyolite.Im having trouble finding any mention of these anywhere and only two have popped up on my site...both the same day about twenty feet apart...My friend found the other which was a little longer..mjm 20200103_091946.webp

I have a few rhyolite points but nothing nearly as nice is that beauty!

That is killer.

I contacted an Archeologist from here in Maine. He said this was early woodland and more commonly found in Maritime provinces which fits right in with the rest of my "Red paint" artifacts.mjm..

It's a beauty.:icon_thumright:

Love long stems !! Rare for any type in FL.

It's about 3 1/2" long..

Just off hand, without looking, I believe my longest points are a Harpeth River, and a large black flint spike.
