Maybe he used the wart to hold onto it, lol. Not very pretty, but kind of cool in a weird way!

He swung at that thing from every angle. Funny.

I think it’s “just” an inclusion in the lithic. They show up in lots of artifacts.
That’s a different fire pit, nice view back yard.

That's what it is. Wouldn't flake. He kept swinging at it but it was going nowhere.

Has that so ugly cute factor going on with it.

Maybe it's just a baby of this creature.:laughing7:

Absolutely, Garscale. My pics suck, but if you could see it up close, you would definitely see that this guy flogged it trying to get that thing off. And as you said, wasn't going anywhere!

Yes. At first I was disappointed when I found it but then realized I have a score or more perfect blades. None like this. Then I saw how the maker pecked and pecked at it trying to remove it, then I loved it!

I'm surprised no one has used the term "stack" referring to that wart. That is a stack that the knapper could not remove.

Same story with this one -- wouldn't budge, so the guy went underneath it & submarined it off. Pretty nifty manoeuvre.
