Very nice. Thats more like winter. Here in California we have had highs in the 60's.

Enjoy! Are you down near the Houston area? We Texans can really appreciate snow since it just doesn't happen often enough. Merry Christmas--

Thats supposed to happen up here in the North ;D Better you than me. HH Ron from Ohio

Last December at this same time we were at Lackland Air Force Base watching my sons graduation. It was colder there then when we left Penna. It didn't bother me but other people complained about how cold it was.

I must be living right snow north of me and south of me. No snow and high 40's today in Norman.

Ain't it purdy! Maybe we'll get a snow flake or two. I talked to RiverRat this morning and she says they got a nice suprise of snow in Louisiana too. Only problem was, they lost their electric and she can't post her pictures. :P

Great picture, River!

Nana :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Old River,

Ya coulda called and told me about it! I'm jealous!! Makes it seem more like Christmas though doesn't it? I'll bet the grandkids were excited about it too. We just got a bit of sleet very early yesterday morning and it was all gone by the time I went to work. :D
I'll probably be making the trip down there next weekend. Hopefully we'll get to go huntin'! That is...if it doesn't snow again!

It's all that global warming stuff..... ::)

I heard that ;D Global warming. Some term a dumb %$# scientist termed that is as dumb as I don't know what. We have a big hole in the ozone layer and we are all gonna die. I think parts of the country are getting colder than they used to. Global ice age is comming ;D

I think I read somewhere that 2008 was the coolest year on record for like the last several years or so but scientists say that Global warming is still real.

Yeah and I have some Carbon Offsets I would LOVE to sell ya.

We had a wet Arctic front pass through southern Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas late last week. It left snow in several areas, but missed me completely. I am just outside of Tulsa, OK. But my daughter in Austin got a dusting of snow and it is usually much warmer there than here at home. Monty

Time to buy a snowblower!!! ;D

Once I had big oak trees all over my yard. Since hurricane alicia, Rita, and Ike I had to replant. I lost the last three in back during hurricane Ike. I'm trying to get a little shade in the afternoon in the summer months. This snow has been fun for the kids, but I had just as soon to walk on the grass. Allen I'm sorry to hear about your arm. Hope you get better soon. I am just a little east of Houston in Chambers county. Merry Christmas to all of you.

Global Warming.......the biggest money maker since Snake Oil........NGE

Old River,
My parents left Northern Michigan and drove to Houston last week. They are down at MD Anderson for some tests and treatment. They have been calling every day to tell me how nice it was to get out of the snow, just rubbing it in.
I have to tell you, I really enjoyed the phone call last night. There was only a 10 degree difference from Houston to Northern Michigan!
When I laughed, just a little, my sweet mother had not sense of humor at all!

Enjoy the snow, and then enjoy watching it go! I was in Houston last year just before Christmas, and 70's felt pretty good to me!

HH

Woke up to the same thing. I'm in Humble, just north of Houston. A true wonderful surprise.

Here's a pic!
