Nice finds, nothing for me to be mean about, you did well. I cannot help with the button ID, but you might try the "What Is It?" forum:

What Is It?

I found these in the middle of a field that has never had a house or anything for that matter it was wooded up till 3 years ago.

Some nice stuff there. Congrats!

Congratz on a nice hunt! That IHP is in remarkable shape!

You know thing about "the middle of nowhere" that amazes me...

It could have been "the middle of somewhere or something" at one time.

Wd.
Go back... more awaits.

Awesome I love cruising randomly if I have a spot with no known info on! Great haul bud, keep up the good work!!!

the owner now had the property since 1978 his uncle owned it since 1912 I think. the owner now says he never remembers any cleared area and his uncle never said anything to him. really close to my house will be going a lot if it would ever stop rain. I just hate the rain. I've been in steams that didn't bother me but rain I just cant stand rain. I will post the next day I go cant wait. the button was between 1890 and 1910. oh well. thanks for all the support.

Welcome to Treasurenet. Those are nice finds, looks like you have a good place to hunt. Enthusiasm will get you far in this hobby. They look like Victorian era buttons. Can you post a pic of the backsides of the buttons?

the one that is gold plated i cant read at all....trying tho cant find my jewlers lens the one with bust says extra quality and is a three piece button.IMG_1397.webpIMG_1389.webpIMG_1391.webp

You might ask that owner where his uncle might have had a moonshine still if he might have had one, hypothetically! Something must have happened on that spot, 'cause those are great finds. Congrats.

Congrats on your finds with the ATP - persistence pays off with many good trophies. I keep going back to an old park and I do think it will produce.

I love my at pro I am going to buy another metal detector in april might try at gold. had a gti 2500 did not preform as good as my pro. started with ace 350 loved it but pro is the best that I used (so far)

just found out the back of the gold plated button says W. H. Jones and co. Super Fine any thoughts?

Congrats on the nice finds. You ought to hit that place good over the upcoming weekend.

Nobody should be "mean" to you on TNet. This is a community of like minded people. The moderator will come on the thread and tell them to cool it.

Best of luck to you!

If that area stayed wooded for a long time, maybe hunters used to use it? A hunter way back when could've gotten his coat snagged on a tree or bush, and the button ripped off. Just a theory.

I am going to hit it really hard on Sunday. I got roped in to take kids somewhere sat. Can't wait to get out there. Thanks for all the likes and posts.

Sounds like you found a good spot Great Job!!!!!
