Hello Myth Legend,

IMHO:
The Milelab Go-Find 60. I have one in my car (wrapped in a blanket) all the time. It folds up into a very small and is a light weight Minelab. Now, it isn't the deepest detector around, but will work well up to 5 - 6 inches.
Good detector to have stored away when you see an area to search and wish you had some type of machine. There are many other inexpensive machines (Tesoro-Compadre, White's-Prizm and Garrett-ACE series) that will serve the same purpose, but don't have the easy fold up capability. They can however be easily taken apart and transported via plane, train, car and ship.
