Looking for a place to hunt near Dallas/Ft. Worth or the surrounding areas

I am fairly new, but have started out with playgrounds as the woodchips are easy to dig and it gives you some good experience as you learn your machine. I am north of DFW airport. I would also suggest that you check out the Golden Triangle Explorers Society for a place to meet metal detectorists and learn a lot. Here is the link:

You can hunt Dallas city parks. You can also hunt the swim beaches at Lake Lewisville. You just need to stop by the Corps of Engineers office and get a permit (free) that is good for a year.
