The piece with the wires could be an old electric fence connector?

Your first guess sure looks like Antique Loom Weights, have not seen pictures of the spiked weight you show.

Thx for the idea's y'all!!!! Funny thing is that there is a very well known (master weaver) from our area and his place was just a stones throw away from this site so who's to say lol.
