Looking for nice digging shovel, Sampson, Predator, Lesche, what do you have?

I’m looking for a shovel with either a T handle of D handle, preferably with serrated teeth, and name brand, I’m medically disabled due to broken back, and torn ACL, Meniscus, and looking for a good shovel I don’t have to get on ground and dig with, and that cuts a good plug in yards, or fields. Send me what you have, will entertain any types. I’ve got plenty of things to trade for a used one that’s not broke or dull. I’d like a new one, but what little money I make, every bit counts, so I’m only able to trade things at this time. I was a heavy duty semi truck mechanic, I’ve got tools ranging from name brand expensive matco sockets, and ratchet wrenches, to a like new Rigid Cordless frill, Charger, and new Battery.

That’s the kind I was looking for. Is it tall enough so I don’t have to bend way over to cut a plug? I’m 6’2”, and my Kobalt shovel is way too big to carry around in nice yards, and doesn’t cut plugs anywhere as nice as one of those.

I have similar problems and I can’t burn too much. The Predator Tools Eagle is rather expensive but the little extra length is worth it. I live in AR and if I was in the market for another shovel I would order one and save you on the shipping, but I’m not needing one rn.

I’ve got a welder, and I’ve fabricated several new ones, really nice ones. The one I built two weeks ago is a Stanley with D handle, with round point shovel tip that I modified for making plugs. When used correctly like cutting a plug it is almost undetectable unless you really stare at someone’s grass really hard. I just wanted a lighter weight one. I’ve had the models I’ve asked for in trade, and really enjoy them. When we go detecting there’s generally just me, and my brother, and I’d like to have one for me. I let him have my Stanley, I like the other ones because they’re lighter than most conventional ones you can purchase. I at one time had a Lesche that was great but it was too short, and only wide enough to cut a plug the size of a can.

Yeah I did that to my old T handle Lesche years ago, course that’s when they started making those type of shovels, and really liked the outcome, but I haven’t gotten another one yet, so I can do it again

I'd stay away from the t handle sampson. It's my favorite all around shovel but I'm taller like you and it is a tad short but cuts a wonderful plug. If my back was hurt it would be hard to use.

Yeah I wish they made a little longer one for someone around 6’2”. A guy we hunted with the other day was like 5’4”, and that short T handle was perfect for him. I tried it, and had to bend over
