Nice piece of glass! I think it's gotta be pretty old, middle 19th century?

That's kind of what I was thinking or I'm thinking possibly 18th century. The farm itself dates to the 1760s . And many colonial relics were recovered.

Yeah, I always like guessing high rather than low but heck that thing looks ooold, you could easily be talking much older, especially if you know the site dates that far back. And I do agree that it looks so much like a chestnut flask! I've seen pictures of some that did have a green colour as deep as this, so it's totally possible.

Close to a Race and Sheldon Magic Boot Polish. Pontil era. Alot of smaller bubbles.Mid 1800's best guess. jgas

This is an example of the bottle jgas is talking about. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1456618223.251326.webp.

The second set of photos may not be exactly the bottle Harry had in mind but I was focusing on the lip mostly and picked this particular bottle.

Wow that's quite the bottle and the color is very similar but it also looks like the chestnut . It looks like the chestnut may have a flared lip though.

It also looks very similar to this one I spotted on the interweb.

I don't know if we'll ever find out what bottle your top is from but there is some good age to it. You need to work this place over really well

That piece sure woulda got my motor running. The Race & Sheldon was my first thought, too but it looks a little big for one of those compared to the other bottles in the picture. There is a one known example larger size R&S but still not that big. It was a good one whatever it was.
