Hello all! I am relatively new to this forum.

I find all of your adventures very interesting. I have spent the better part of the Summer gleaning all the information that I could from magazine articles/Internet to plot potential TH/MD sites for Washington State.

I am recently retires from the USAF after 23 years...unfortunately because of a very bad knee and a broken back...I am limited to what kind of trouble I can get myself into out in the field.

If any of you good folks care to exchange information/ideas on potential cache locations in Washington, please reply to this post.

I live in the greater Seattle area and am certainly willing...Soon as these ribs heal up! It;s Washington and I say to heck with the rain~

I''m in Bellevue, WA. I've hunted with that guy Nashoba, he knows how to find the stuff all right. Better watch out he can out hunt ya in a minute ;D ;D ;D

Just moved to Massachusetts from Tri-cities... geez I miss Wa state.

Have fun hunting there, all, and find some good ones for me!

Oh, and GO SEAHAWKS!

Funny how ya see these things months after they are posted! Don't anyone let Gemologist fool ya. He dug plenty that day himself and we had ourselves a blast.....AND ended up telling me where to find wheats. At the time I didn't think there was a wheat in the ground within a hundred miles...or more!

And anyone who gets to hunt with him will find a very genuinely nice guy. I had a great time and look forward to hunting with him again!

Sounds like a plan...I havn't been able to drag myself out since last August. But which cache/treasure to attack first? Something centrally located...we could look for Mel's Hole...LOL. We could nugget shoot up on Chinook Pass/410...I think it's 410...allot of hardrock...some placer as well up in the creeks surrounding the Ski Resort.

I would be interested in finding the Old Military Road and were it ran through the Cascades from Ft. Steilacoom to Ft. Walla Walla. They had to make camp in numerous places along the way.

We could look for Hansen's 200K in gold on Vashon Island...that should be relatively easy to find. He wouldn't have buried it between his land and town...too many prying eyes...he would have moved up creek...probably on the inside curve of the creek...that way erosion wouldn't expose it over the years...still there supposedly...who knows?

If you look on Google Earth...at McNeil Island, there is a wreck on the beach...north side...I used to live out there when my Father worked for the DOC. ALOT of old cellar holes out there...fruit trees in the middle of nowhere, etc...someday that place will open up to the public...I know just the spot.

Happy Hunting...I have to find some serious money...Retired Military, Ex-wife, Child Support...bills...bills, etc...I cash in soda cans right now for a few extra bucks. Coin collection of 30+ years is all but gone now...I used to have some real nice stuff. Good Luck and Happy Hunting!

Ya know that Hansen gold could well be there...I have had dreams about finding it~!

Plan on being at the Gold Show. when are you going?
What club(s) are you in.. I am seriously considering the Washington Prospectors..

I spent 5 yrs on Morse Creek on Chinook pass working a claim 1980 to 1985. Largest piece of gold was wheat sized, and not many of them, so I don't think nugget shooting would get much.

As I just stated in another thread....if people are doing something and want company detecting, and don't mind a novice trying to learn, I would like to join.

I'm in the Bellevue/Redmond area....

I go through I-90 to get to Yakima once or twice a year (in the summer) and Wenatchee isn't that far from here :)
(Bellevue area, so it is what, about 90 minutes?

Thinking about getting a MD would love to go out sometime with someone who will let me tag along and see if this is as fun and I think it would be. Live in South Snohomish county just south of Lynnwood.
