My cryptic message is for those CRHers who for various reasons do not get to collect mass quantities of coins at one time. I have been fortunate to receive over 20 of those canvas/whatever material Bank Bags. I thought I would send a few out to some CRHers who are on a limited budget. If you fit my description, I will gladly send you a bag at no charge to you. I will send the best looking ones out first, some have bank names, others are blank.
If you would like a bank bag, send me a PM with your address and I will get them out. I will send out about a dozen,I still need some for my travels. Thanks, Jim

dont know how young or how new yer talking, but i metal detect the beach almost lightly for 3 hours, and just started coin roll hunting today, i'm 26, tried 3 banks so far and only found 6.50 in loose halfs.. but got 3 bicentennials.. do people keep the bicentennials? other than that the rest were 1971 and newer.. going to try to get up early and see if any banks are open in the morning to try to find somewhere that sells rolls of halfs, and if not i'll try to order halfs from a bank.. we'll see, started MDing, and now i'm getting into the history and I've caught the coin bug..

Nice offer Coolpix - Im sure some folks could use a bag !!

I have a nice one that I use, and have gotten others, but returned
them. So, I dont need any... but to the new guys or new CRHs... they
are nice to have. You need something strong to carry half dollars :)

Dont do what my wife did, and use a couple grocery store plastic bags... ummm...
had to pick up lots of rolls off the ground, sidewalk, porch, stairs lol you get
the idea :)

Hey coolpix- It is very nice of you to make such an offer! I sent you an IM.

Hi Coolpix, I'm new to this CRHing and just started going to banks in Feb. I've been reading this site about everyday. It's a nice offer your doing, I would send you a pm but I'm not sure what that is. I love MDing and was just out the other day, but didn't stay long as it was really cold in PA but did come up with a sliver wrapped gold ring and a 1881 Indian head. also went to the bank today and came home with two rolls of half's and in those there were 7- 1976, 3- 71, 3- 72, 2- 73, and 2- 74's. I guess that's not to bad. I'll be posting my total to date in the near future. Thanks :)

Thanks a million coolpix! I got the bags in the mail today. There were also some coins in them that I am assuming you wanted me to have as well. Thanks a bunch, they will make a fine addition to my modest collection.

You are a very generous person to give things away to a perfect stranger like me. I will be sure to "pay it forward" at the first available opportunity!

Thanks again,
Zane

P.S. I like the picture on your avatar. Is that you, and if so what year was it taken?

i got my 2 bags in the mail today too! thank you so much for the bag! i'm using the bag to hold my wheaties, and another bag to hold my coppers. thank you very very much for these. i also noticed that you used a $500 halves box. that is a creative idea and its good you are recycling! i also got a 1984P half in one of my bags! i wasn't expecting that in the bag! it is a 1960-1985 half, and it is plated. i wasn't expecting 2 bags either! thank you agian! i'm glad i have a bag now! i've always wanted one for some reason. that was very nice of you to do this for someone you don't even know. i'll send you something really nice someday. thanks again for the 2 bags and the half. that has truly made my day! whenci saw those, i got a rush and tore the box open! well, you have a good weekend! HH! ;D

I want to add to this thread the kind of guy we have here. This was posted a few weeks back.

He also showed me a great act of kindness by sending me a coin I have yet to see until today....a 1970-D Half!!! I really didn't think they existed....lol. Your a sweet man Jim. Yes, he is very kind. Thanks.
