I LOVE those "lost" MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES, near the Shenandoah National Park; with the leaves down (and critters), I can see the OLD Mountain Roads... FAVE? Swift Run, Virginia in Greene County... WOW!

Went to local Library, and checked LOST COMMUNITIES OF VIRGINIA by Terri Fisher & Kirsten Sparenborg... GREAT book on "Little towns that used to be rather important "hubs" dot the Virginia countryside, dating from the days when agriculture ruled along with horse & buggy or mule & wagons." Such as Moneta, Va, Mt. Solon, Va., Mineral, Va., THIRTY "spots" in all! HH! Good Luck!
