Lost Desert Bonanzas was published in 1963.

A new edition with the same contents was published in 1991 with a new name Lost Gold and Silver Mines of the Southwest.

Eugene L. Conrotto started as Associate Editor of the October 1955 edition of Desert Magazine, becoming the publisher and editor from October 1962 to June 1963. The book is a collection of treasure stories published in the magazine. There are around 112 stories. I believe that every copy of Desert magazine from November 1937 to June 1985 can still be found online and downloaded. Each story in the book includes a map drawn by Norton Allen. Mr. Allen’s maps and line drawings are pieces of art. The maps provide an excellent depiction of the topography within the potential search area.

The book also includes additional maps of old trails, wagon roads, and stage routes, etc.
