First silver dollar I ever detected was in a former civil war battle site near some gun pits under a great big Live Oak. 1921 Morgan. It was in a cellophane wrapper. I'm guessing a hunter climbed the tree and it fell out their pocket. Almost passed the signal thinking it was a flattened soda can under the leaves until I realized there was no modern trash where I was at.
