Louisville KY detecting legal?

I’m pretty new to this forum stuff so please forgive me if I’m posting this in the wrong place. I’m vacationing in Louisville KY right now and was wondering if it’s ok to detect anywhere in or around this town. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Honestly it's a little rough detecting in public areas in Louisville. All city and state parks are off limits so unless you've got permissions it's a little rough. The mayor made it illegal to detect in the parks several years ago and despite people trying to get it overturned for sometime there has been no change. Good luck on your hunting!

Thanks bluegrass diggin! I kinda got that impression from everything I’ve been researching lately too. Think we’re heading out to South Carolina tomorrow anyhow now so maybe will get to do some beach hunting at least. I appreciated your response!
