Beautiful weather today in Germany, kind of scary! I managed to get out of work around 04:00, walked across the street to an American sports field and detected until 07:30PM. Found a first for me, don't laugh, I dug a 1979 Susan B. Anthony Dollar coin, I was thrilled! Also found 2 Quarters, one was a 1965, almost silver, 4 Dimes, 5 Pennies and a German 2 Pfennig coin. Found several WWII bullets, a few brass casings and a live round. I think the field has fill dirt in it and part of it is a softball field. There is a corner where I have had two different detectors completely lose their minds, something is down there and I think it is a German battle tank, LOL! Had a nice hunt in the warm weather. HH, Mike

:D Sorry. I gotta laugh! :D I haven't found a SBA dollar yet! :D

Your weather sounds perfect for hunting! Congrats on your finds!

Nan ;)

I'm not laughing Mike. It took me 6 1/2 years to find my first and I was thrilled. WTG

IT'S COOL TO HEAR ABOUT SOME ONES FINDS ALL THE WAY OVER THERE, THATS TO COOL. WTG ;)

Poor guy, had to go all the way to germany to find a susan B! :D

Hey Mike, the next time I am down that way I will bring my detector and we can go look for that tank, it would be awsome to dig up a large item of history. and that kasern is pretty old might be something the German Army left behind or the American army junked Conn has alot of Artillery pieces and display tanks on it, could be track or something dumped back there.

Guten Tag Mike! Way to go on the SBA. Guess it kinda makes you feel a little closer to home find USA coins. I found two in 2005. Guess I'm luckier than I thought ;D

An SBA! Cool!

I worked as a bank teller when they were issued. Everybody wanted SBA's! About a week later, the old folks started bringing them back to the bank! "Too similar to quarters!" they said...

I have an old pinball machine (Nitro Ground Shaker) that takes SBA's - one play for a quarter, five plays for an SBA. What a bargain! Come on by and play a game - or five...
