Lumber camp item

Need some help on the first item. These were found at a lumber camp (not by me). I purchased these at a Goodwill. Thought I would donate these to a small local lumbering museum in Northern MI.

What are the halve a horseshoe looking items. What are they for I find those from time to time. Always thought they were some sort of tool made from a broken shoe.

Those are oxen shoes.

I think the hook is to hook a harness animal to a single tree they hook in the trace strap.
