I hunted a school yard on Saturday and found over $4.00 in clad :hello2: A big part of it was 4 quarters all piled up together on a hillside. My first pocket spill - but all I could think was I hoped that poor kid got lunch that day.

Today I decided to give my own yard a go. I have been focused on the front and found the 1924 and 1943 Mercury dimes a few days ago. Also found the sad 1947 Washington that got run over by some big machinery at the side of my driveway and the nice 1939 Washington in the yard ;D

I have not hunted very much in my backyard because it is very trashy. But earlier tonight I did and my first hit was this cool buckle plate! Then I found the unknown copper soldier guy and $.36 in clad. Yippee!

Happy Hunting everyone!

Thanks! ;D People really seem to like the buckle plate (I do too) so I changed the title. I also posted it in What is It? Maybe someone can give me some info. on it - the scene? age?

Nice finds! I'd like to learn more about that buckle too. HH

cool buckle I found a old no name kids cowboy buckle once, and it turned out to be worth 100 bucks, traded it for some 1900's calvary spurs. Might be a good one

Very cool, It doesent have to be military to be worth somthing.. nice

Congrats on the silver.
