Yes, my old Tesoro Umax but I need a 4" coil for it, shouldn't be too much. Someone was there with a Minelab Etrac, didn't have a clue but still found an 1807 Penny. The guy I spoke to hardly ever uses a detector, just a trowel ::)

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

i bet you got all excited :D

so you don't need the liscence for eyes only?

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

I am eating my lunch while typing this. Guess I should stop and get out. :D

Nice finds. Hope you get to search this place more thoroughly. Lots of history, and pre history, on the Thames.

As long as you don't dig.

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

Wow nice finds!

Maybe I should try the bank of the Potomac at lunchtime... Naaa. I'd probably find a dead body... :o

I would be tempted to hit Hyde Park.

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

Well done i would like to have a look one day :icon_thumright:

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

Simply amazing...you find some great stuff just looking.

I feel like Mr. Rogers at lunchtime. I usually drive to a park then change my shoes and put on a light jacket and start detecting. Sometime life gets so busy my lunchtime hunts are all I get for a while.

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

Nice finds for eyes only Cru! That is a lot of finds for only a short time.

I used to do that also when I went to our main laboratory, about a hours ride away and in an ancient part of Holland in my lunch hour, and after work (from about 15.00-16.00 until 18.00).
My best finds over the years were a small gold coin (Tremissis minted by Garoaldus about 640AD), a great silver tin toy jug (15th century), and a flanged axe from about 1800 bc. Plus a lot of other stuff including 15-17th century silver coins. (you can see these finds on our site).

So it does pay off to search in a few free hours if you can. Just a few hours per day pay off in the long run (and since I got home later I missed the traffic jams!)...

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

I WISH I COULD MOVE THERE ! AND I AM NOT KIDDING!1

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

Makes ya sick... I can't even see dog cr*p until after I've trod in it! :D

Re: Lunchtime 'eyes only finds'

Great eye finds! So the Mudlarks club haven't cleaned the place out yet, LOL. What is the license about? HH, Mike
