I dumped some coin at lunch and figured it would be a perfect opportunity to stop at a few banks and ask for halves and big dollars.
A few banks had none, a few banks had 1-3 clad halves, one had $140 worth which gave up [2] 1977 counter-stamped (1960-1985) 24K gold-plated halves in the same roll. This was exciting since I like these and have only found them in boxes before, not CWRs.
A bank a few stops later had $60 worth in older style orange rolls and said they already sold two this morning but the person didn't have enough money to buy them all. Too bad for them, and good for me:
Roll #1: [2] 40%ers
Roll #2: [1] 1 40%er
Roll #3: skunk
Roll #4: [5] 40%ers
Roll #5: [7] 40%ers
Roll #6: skunk
Maybe the two rolls they bought were skunks and they figured the other rolls wouldn't produce?
[15] 40%ers
[2] gold-plated
