Found a 1650s Louis XIIII French liard today at a place where I found a 1907 D Barber Half yesterday. Only two find (besides the lead seal and plenty of trash) but not bad! Does anyone recognize the mintmark on the liard?

Heck of a nice score !

lead seal

Heck of a nice score !

the lead seal is NYC and Hudson River Railroad, was lucky enough to acquire thousands of documents from the HRRR, late 1800's to early 1900's including secret service reports and counterfeit money.
If you would like a go with, I can send a document or two.....Joe

Thanks for the offer, but the lead seal is nothing more than another lead seal to me!
