Very good deal, i do alot of machine work, do you want your money back.

Wow! Sure wish we could have gotten a deal like that when I was a kid and my dad had his machine shop! I remember he had to pay and arm and a leg just for a good quality Starrett 18" adjustable square with three heads (90°, center finder and protractor). ...I would imagine everything has gone pretty much all digital nowdays though. But WOW!!, that's an awesome deal!! Well done, sir! :occasion14:

NICE. I see those kind of tools in the pawn shops for big bucks. Good score:thumbsup:

Mojjax, it is kinda cool seeing stuff posted on here that I saw first on my picnic table last night. LOL

If you hover your mouse over the image, it "should" show you what the image name is. These 5 images are named:
aircraft015.jpg
aircraft017.jgp
aircraft018.jgp
aircraft019.jgp
aircraft020.jgp

Found out a while back that the images don't necessarily show up in the same order or orientation for all viewers. I've even read a thread where the pictures were oriented one way the first time, yet were different later, without the post being edited.

Yes , ethanfez is correct - Micrometer .
The Starrett dial indicator 711-f , in the black box , is interesting because it is also marked '' Pratt & Whitney Aircraft " I can't seem to find another one like it .

Pratt & whitney is a manufacturer of airplane engines (which you probably knew already). American made, historic company.

If I am looking at the right picture it is a micrometer. They tend to fetch a high price.

In the buckets of tools, I found one like the "triangle with a sliding attachment and shaft extension". I didn't know what it's called.

That is called a planer/ shaper gauge. They have been pretty much obsolete since milling machines and milling cutters have improved over the years.
My grandfather started a machine shop in the 40's and I used to run the old shaper and planer mill on rare occasions. The old planer was driven by a line shaft in the ceiling and a flat leather belt.

Pratt & Whitney make measuring tools. Looks like the mic is brown and sharpe along with the dial indicator. Starrett makes some nice tools too. New tools are expensive, used tools go for penny's on the dollar unfortunately.
