First bullet I've found like this one in this area. It, and the rest of the relics was found in the same area of the site. It was where they used to work on steam boats back in the 1800's. I don't know what the other relics are, but they are brass. The VI is on the back of the long piece. The half moon piece looks like it could have been a part of a clock. It was gold gilted.

Nice bullet and I am not sure what the other thing is, but interesting.

It almost looks like a handle of some sort but the bumps throw it off. It could have been a decorative piece underneath a handrail or something. I am sure someone will figure out what it is. Thanks for the pics.

Nice finds!

If the long piece were shorter I'd say it was a trigger guard.

Very interesting piece--You should post it in What Is It.

Thats my plan, I just hadn't go to it yet. I'm haveing a little trouble with my Kodack site. Thanks for viewing. It really surprised me to find the bullet here at my site.

Some tell me that this is a 3 ringer 58 cal. minnie ball. As far as I can find there was never any civil war activities that took place here on this site. Just Republic of Texas activities. Thanks for viewing.

CW Era bullets can be found in sites that date both to before and well after the CW. Now, granted--the minieball wasn't invented until after the Texas Republic years, but it could be that the area you're hunting was a training ground or meeting place both during the Republic, and afterward as well.

Nice finds Old River! This is kind of a guess, but could that be an old
leaders spoon? I know they worked with lead alot in that era.

Slab

I don't know what a leaders spoon looked like, but this does not have a spoon end on it. I pretty well flat, or should I say rounded. Thank for viewing.

It looks a lot like a trigger guard for a long rifle, except I can't see how in the world it would have been held onto the rifle. Are there spots on the bottom side that look like tits were broken off?

No spots like that on it. The only spot on it is on the widest end that is spoon shaped. Its about a half inch across, and round in shape. It on stands out about one sixteenth of an inch, or maybe a little more. Thanks for looking.

Nice and interesting finds!
Congrats!
