made more on the dump than the search of 2 boxes 'o halves

2 '67's in 2 boxes with each box short by 1 coin. fed 'em to the machine & got my 1K in $50's. 2nd star note from a dump. sold the 1st one for $60. also scored this '41 Jeff and a '96-P die clash today in the first 10 rolls from the current "stash" nic. box :laughing7: IMG_2710.webpIMG_2711.webpIMG_2706.webpIMG_2707.webp HH and ALWAYS look at your money, it might be worth some cash :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

Where did you sell the star note? People around here don't seem to have much interest even for the low numbers and production runs.

not sold yet, just listed it for $61.99 on ebay. sold a previous one for $59.99. there is a buyer for everything that is made of "matter". I never ask why they want it, but I do thank 'em for buyin'.

I sold a few star notes a couple of years ago on eBay and used to have good results, $50 star note would easily bring 60 + dollars, & I would get another $5 shipping. Just wasn't enough profit in it for me, I get $100 star notes weekly now but I don't bother listing them even though I'm sure would be an easy $10 grab from ebay but just not worth my time considering everything else I have going on right now. Nice score today port! HH, maverick.

How much do you net selling a $50 star note on ebay for $60? I considered that with $20 star notes I found, and concluded it wasn't worth my time.

Mind you, I'm not judging, just curious.

takes 5 minutes to take photos & list item for about $7 clear profit, that----is worth my time:-). I take free money whether I dig it, CRH it or snag it in change. do not forget______I live in NewYorkistan under the tyrant "Moe the bartender" Cuomo!!!

My credit union just gave me 10 $50 star notes fresh and crisp, she has a bundle of them... Anyone wanna buy them? I'll go grab them. lol

How do you make a profit on it when Feebay charges 15% of your sales? Paypal then takes another cut too.

People also buy up small portrait bills but the commission from Feebay makes the sale pointless. Can someone break it down from sales + shipping - cost - commission = total?

ebay fee is 6%, 2.9% to Paypal, the 30 cent transaction fee is built into my shipping charge. so not 15%, just 8.9%

Good to know. I stopped selling on eBay when my fees topped 18%. May have to take another look at selling.

You have an eBay store though, right? My fees without a store are 10%, plus paypal so it really ends up closer to 13%. I sell other stuff with a higher margin but I just doesn't seem worthwhile to sell coins or bills most of the time.

Sorry it's been a while since I've sold on Feebay. I recall when I did, with Paypal fees, it was getting close to 15% so the 13% commission pointed out by Jack_Mightyheart seems correct.

I really wished I didn't have to pay such high fees, otherwise I'd consider going back to Feebay. I stopped selling also on Feebay years ago since they don't really protect the seller.
