Made of brass ?

Found this in the woods .
It looks like it was round at one time and reminds me of a tip for a walking stick.
Also i think it might be one of those things they put on the horns of cattle .
Anyone have an idea what it is?

One piece,flattened . It would have bee round like the end of a walking stick.
