View attachment 930818 last week i got a tom and perry gutter sluice.iliked it but thought id like to try one with drain pipe.so i picked up a 10 ft plastic gutter for under 7.00, and 10 ft pipe for under 4 bucks.end cap was 5.00. the trick to this thing is once your water is on it needs to hit a backsplash to spread the water so i used the aluminum gutter bracket .and its working great.i have to say the water spreads out real wide and even and the deep ripples of the drain pipe really catch the sand ,no gold yet! but you can get 5 two footers out of these materials o make for friends ..i did drill a hole on each 4 corners to run wingnuts and a bolt to hold drain pipe in place but it dosnt need them at all. but i do use the exit end ones anyways.anyways just a cool project i wanted to share for the new prospectors like myself that wanna make something easy useful and inexpensive the small one is the tom and perrys in the photo.
