Madison, WI noob

Hey all! Been at it for about 8 total hours spread between about 4 hunts. Started with a BH IV and just upgraded to an Ace 350. I can tell you that I really need to learn the diff tones between bottle caps and coins...... and maybe my choice of locations. How was it for you guys starting out? Did you have someone help show you the ropes?

You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Wisconsin for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

I started out by digging everything, I mostly still do depending on the area I am hunting, In old homes area I dig everything, in ball parks and playgrounds I discriminate.
