Maine Rookie

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to say hello from Southern Maine. I was just given a metal detector from my father, Garrett ACE 250, which I found to be a great starter detector. When I read about this activity being an addiction I had know idea how much fun it would be. I quickly found myself getting a Garrett Propointer AT and a Lesche digging tool. I have found some fun items, but am still just getting into this hobby. anyway, just wanted to say hello and see if anyone in Southern Maine wanted to talk detecting or give me pointers. I have not been able to find any clubs in the Portland, ME area but would love to talk to someone who is a seasoned detectorist.

Welcome from CT!! You can't go wrong with any ACE machine for starters. The ace 400 I just sold is almost as capable as the ATP in a lot of non wet environments. I bought that one for my EX. Great to have you in this forum!!!!!
