I think you will like it. I've tested it in a lot of different soils, and it has performed well everywhere so far.

Is there a warranty service centre in the US or Canada yet or would we have to ship the pointer to Turkey for a warranty job if needed ?

Yes, all service and warranty issues will be handled here in the USA.
I just bought one. The only real complaint I have is it takes a second to switch it on and off. I test drove mine at a competition hunt where every second counts. The Makro is a great pinpointer.
