Mamluk Revival metal work

I thought this was an interesting piece, so i bought it. It's made of brass, copper and the calligraphy looks to be applied silver. From what I'm finding, I believe it's what is referred as Mamluk revival from maybe Cairo. It looks rather old and was most likely a tourist piece from maybe the first quarter of the 20th century. Others items like it I've found online looked as if they've been polished up and this one may have never been polished since it was made. I'm gonna keep that way, because I think it looks great with age. Outside of it being something interesting, researching who the Mamluks were was rather fascinating.
