Found this when I was 4-5 years old in the early 70's. Or that's what my mom just told me... I really don't remember. It came in a load of rocks we had added to our driveway. Guess she saved it because I said it was an Indian tomahawk... Anyway I got her to take a couple pics because I had no idea what she was talking about. Looks to be a freak shape of nature to me but does have a curious shape. It is about 4" wide. What do you think?

I can't say for sure what it is :dontknow: but that is interesting ??? it does look like it might have been shaped . It will be interesting to see what a few others think :hello2:.

I agree with flintdigger, It looks like it has been worked into some type of tool. A business end of a club? Interesting piece.

It's a natural rock that has had a softer material in the center that has eroded quicker than the ends and leaving that shape.

I'm an idiot so take it for what it's worth but I'd say natural rock, not an artifact.

All natural, kinda looks like hematite on one side and sandstone on the other...

OK thanks for the ID guys.

Natural Rock IMO. Nice pic. I would have taken it home. I have found a few ? pieces at a known site
