Found a good spot over Easter. Lots of large clams. Many small shells, wood, organic matter. I think the small shell is an ammonite but I am not sure. The ammonites I have found in deeper, lower layers of the Mancos shale have been much larger. JY 0410150840.webp0410150842.webpdownsized_0410150839.webp
 
Nice Finds! Yes,the first one does look like an amonite.

Thanks guys, nice to know what the clam is. I will share some more I will have to take some pictures. How about some small shells all encrusted together and maybe some invertebrates and organic matter. coming soon. JY
