Mancos Shale Fossils

Found a good spot over Easter. Lots of large clams. Many small shells, wood, organic matter. I think the small shell is an ammonite but I am not sure. The ammonites I have found in deeper, lower layers of the Mancos shale have been much larger. JY

Nice Finds! Yes,the first one does look like an amonite.

Thanks guys, nice to know what the clam is. I will share some more I will have to take some pictures. How about some small shells all encrusted together and maybe some invertebrates and organic matter. coming soon. JY
